Lewes, Delaware...known as the "FIRST TOWN IN THE FIRST STATE" was settled by the Dutch in 1631.

Who knew LEWES would still retain it's quaint boundaries over 380 years later?! Fine old homes and historic buildings, excellent eateries, a bustling fishing and harbor life, a curved sandy shoreline, parks and trails, a popular ferry system, and that old "CAN DO SPIRIT" is what Lewes is still all about.

Come for a bike ride thru our streets, back roads and alleys. Grab a lunch then walk that off in Ship Carpenters Square (an incredible village of reproduction homes), boutique shop on Main Street, tour the recently restored Overfalls Lightship, then leave your bags at one of several peaceful, gracious Inns and enjoy happy hour with friends or loved ones while looking forward to an evening of dining YOUR way!
